Task & Task Group
Tasks are work instructions that users can follow while they execute and complete a work order.
Adding Tasks
To add a new Task, follow these steps:
- On tab Tasks, click Add New
- Fill out the applicable data fields.
When you have similar assets that require the same work instructions to be carried out, you can define these as Task Groups to quickly populate Tasks to work orders, preventive maintenances.
You often define Task Groups as preventive maintenance checklists.
You can also associate Task Groups with some asset types, so when a work order is scheduled for an asset of this type, the Tasks for this work order will be auto populated.
Adding Task Groups
To add a new Task Group, follow these steps:
- Click Add New
- Fill out the applicable data fields.
- Define Tasks
- Define Asset Types this Task Group applied to.
- You can see the Preventive Maintenance this Task Group already applied to.
- Apply Task Group for Work Order, Preventive Maintenance.
- Click Add New
